Penalties for violations of the entrepreneur’s obligations in relation to notifying changes in the case of notifiable trades

Offences

In direct connection with the obligation to notify changes in information and documents required for notifying a trade, the Trade Licensing Act specifies the facts of only one offence – the entrepreneur commits an offence by:

  • Failing to notify the trade licensing office of changes and amendments relating to the information and documents required for the notification of a trade within the time limit specified, or by failing to submit documents evidencing such changes and amendments, with the exception of failing to notify a change in the field of activity under an unqualified trade, in violation of Section 49(1) of the Trade Licensing Act.

Pursuant to Section 63(4)(d) of the Trade Licensing Act, a fine of up to CZK 20 000 may be imposed on the entrepreneur for the above offence.

The entrepreneur may commit other offences by failing to fulfil any of the obligations set out in the Trade Licensing Act.
