Penalties for violations of the entrepreneur’s obligations in relation to interrupting a trade

Offences

In direct connection with the interruption of a trade, the Trade Licensing Act specifies the facts of only one offence – the entrepreneur commits an offence by:

  • Failing to report to the trade licensing office the resumption of a trade in accordance with Section 31(12) of the Trade Licensing Act.

Pursuant to Section 63(4)(e) of the Trade Licensing Act, a fine of up to CZK 10 000 may be imposed on the entrepreneur for the above offence.

The entrepreneur may commit other offences by failing to fulfil any of the obligations set out in the Trade Licensing Act, unless the law states that the entrepreneur is not required to fulfil such an obligation during the interruption of a trade.
